Actually, I think Newtzilla got bored of waiting at the soggy bus stop because he was found in a pub. He is being looked after by Linda B, who says,

“Newtzilla was discovered on a table after closing time at Brewers Fayre in Andover, where my husband is a chef. He brought him home to meet our boys. We are in Ludgershall,Wiltshire and Newtzilla is resting on the cushion deciding whether to go to the Lake District in Cumbria or fly overseas to Alabama USA.”
