I’d just had my hiking boots re-soled in Burnley, so it (Pendle Hill Trig Point) was the biggest nearby thing I could conquer to try them out. There was a perfectly serviceable path which FairyJo walked up but Bananas Bunny made me climb up Boar Clough, a rocky stream valley where the rocks seem to be made out of greasy Teflon.
