The detention monster is finished and ready to keep his eyes (and ears) on naughty schoolkids. Nobody wants the detention monster landing on their head with his sticky suckers and slimy tentacles!
The winning design for a detention monster, as drawn by the kids he’ll be watching.
His toothy grin is done with some dodgy crochet topped with picot edging.
This little guy has eyes (and ears) in the back of his head. He has 19 little eyes because Zola lost one under the coffee table and didn’t find it until later. He has 19 little ears to match.
You can see up his nose. All the better to smell you with.
A view of the underneath. The suckers are surface crocheted using dc instead of slip stitch.
The original drawing specified slime, but he’s not in slime mode here.
He caught Zola messing about on twitter instead of writing the TM blog.
He may look fearsome, but his hearts* are in the right place. All those eyes and ears mean he can look out for the children too.
* He has 3 hearts, like an octopus.
