WordPress informed me that the last blog post was the 100th on this site. And #100 marks the reappearance of the very first monster I sent out by putting him on a seat at a local bus stop. I remember checking for him that evening and finding him in the dark, on the ground by the bin. Feeling a bit sad and discouraged, I put him back on the seat, and was so thrilled when somebody took him, and I got an email! Good to see you again, Newtzilla. You were my tiny unfinished Nine Worlds project that started it all.
I also heard via a lovely email from Vala that Snowflake the Yeti arrived safely with her in Iceland. Vala had moved jobs, but her ex-colleagues very kindly sent Snowflake on. Thank you, 66° North folks who got Snowflake to where she needed to be.
A huge thank you also to Linda B, our very first player who took Newtzilla in, and so gave me the encouragement to keep going with this project. And more massive thank yous to everybody else who has played the travelling monsters game since! It’s so great to see you all having fun out there.
My ambition is to have at least one more monster maker before post #200. So if you’re up for knitting, crocheting, stitching, felting, sculpting, or otherwise making a little critter to join our intrepid team of travellers, get in touch and we’ll make it happen!
Wishing you all happy adventures!
